What happens after I book online?
After you request to book we will respond to you within a few hours to confirm your request. You will then receive an email from HomeAway with initial deposit payment instructions. Once you have completed that process your reservation is guaranteed to be held for 2 weeks, until we receive your completed/signed vacation rental agreement (at which time your reservation is guaranteed). We will immediately email you a copy as well as mail you a copy with return postage included. After that, the remaining balance is due at least 14 days prior to your arrival date. In the interim we will email you a local guide of places we love in the area to help you plan your vacation!   
What are your check in/check out times?
Check-in time is no earlier than 4PM and check-out time is no later than 11AM on departure day. We are typically firm with our check-in and out times as early arrivals and late departures can affect our other reservations, but if you have extenuating circumsances please discuss them with us and we will do our best to accomodate your needs. 
What do I need to bring with me?
We supply all the bedroom and bathroom linens and the kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes, cookware/bakeware, appliances and utensils you will need. You will also be provided with a "starter" supply of paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, cleaning supplies, dishwasher detergent, dishsoap and trash bags. 
What you will need to pick up are additional supplies of the above consumables and any food and drinks you will want/need. The kitchen coffee maker is a Keurig and the 3rd floor coffee maker takes ground coffee (no coffee filters are needed).
Is there a minimum age to rent?
Yes. The minimum age for all guests is 25, unless accompanied by a parent. You cannot book the house unless you are 25 or over.
What is the maximum occupancy? Do infants count toward the maximum?
Our maximum occupancy is eight (8). Because we are on private septic we cannot accommodate more than that. Children under 1 do not count toward maximum occupancy. 
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel your booking at least 60 days prior to arrival date, a full refund will be issued. If you cancel less than 60 days from check-in date, no refund will be given. There is no credit/refund given for early departures. It may be permitted to change a reservation rental period for another rental period (within the same rate) equal to or shorter than the original booking with no penalty if there are extenuating circumstances surrounding your need to cancel your reservation. We do not guarantee this and will take it on a case-by-case basis.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! Please see our pet information tab. A pet addendum to the rental agreement is required as well as a non-refundable $75 pet cleaning fee. Limited to 1 dog per reservation unless other arrangements with us have been made prior to chek-in. 
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. We offer a 10% discount to our military men and women (proof of service required) as well as a 10% discount to our return guests.
What happens if there is inclement weather or we decide to leave early?
We do not provide refunds or credits for inclement weather or early departures. The White Mountains have unpredictable weather that can change rapidly, as Mark Twain said “If you don't like the weather in New England now, just wait a few minutes.” If you decide to leave early for any reason, there will be no refund. We strongly recommend travel insurance. 
How do we obtain the house key?
We try to meet every guest at the home when they check-in to provide the keys and ensure you have all the information about the house that you need to fully enjoy your stay. If we cannot be there in person we will email you directions for where to find the key prior to your arrival. 
Who do we call if there are any issues with the home?
You will have our cell phone number (Bob and Chris, the owners of the home) as well our daughter and son-in-law who also live locally. We strive to ensure we are available and that someone can be at the house if you have any issues within an hour of your call.
What if we have an emergency while at the home?
Always call 911 for any emergency. Our welcome book in the home also provides you with phone numbers of our local police, fire, hospitals and veternarians, as well as information about off-hour emergency veternarians in the area.
